Dialogue between Chief Advisor and the Business leaders of the country
A dialogue between the council of Advisors led by the Hon'ble Chief Adviser and the business leaders of the country was held on 3 June, 2008 at Chief Advisor's office. Hon'ble Chief Advisor Dr. Fakhruddin Ahmed along with Dr. Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury, Hon'ble Advisor for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Md. Anwarul Iqbal, Hon'ble Advisor for LGRD and Cooperatives, Mr. A.F. Hassan Ariff, Hon'ble Advisor for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Major Gen (Retd) Ghulam Quader, Hon'ble Advisor for Communications and Dr. Hossain Zillur Rahman, Hon'ble Advisor for Commerce and Education took part in the dialogue.
Mr. Annisul Huq, President of FBCCI on behalf of the business community moderated the dialogue. Syed Manzur Elahi, Former Advisor of the Caretaker Government and Mr. Mahbubur Rahman, President of ICC, Bangladesh were present. Heads of Member bodies of FBCCI, General Body Members and the leading industrialists & businessmen of the country also participated in the dialogue and put forward frank opinion about the political and business environment of the country and also on the agenda of the govt.

A delegation of Bangladesh-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BGCCI) called on Mr. Annisul Huq, President of FBCCI at FBCCI on 28 May 2008 . They discussed about ways and means to foster trade and investment between the two countries. BGCCI representatives informed that the chamber is going to organize a trade fair at Bangladesh - China Friendship Conference Center very soon and they sought cooperation of FBCCI. The 29th Consultative Committee Meeting of National Board of Revenue (NBR) jointly organized by NBR and FBCCI was held at Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center on 24 April 2008 . Dr. A.B.
